Southern Sweden

Around 80% of the population of the country lives in Southern Sweden. This part is famous for its pastoral, rolling countryside. The country´s southernmost region and one of Northern Europe´s richest farming districts, the county of Skåne is generally associated with endless open fields and wide, flat horizons. The long coastlines that lie to the east and west in southern Sweden are dotted with fishing harbors and marinas, coastal towns and beach resorts set against a natural backdrop that is uniquely Swedish.

Central Sweden

Central Sweden is the country’s heartland and a place of striking natural beauty. Here you can make a great journey from the dramatic sea coast via thick forests to beautiful mountains. You can find many possibilities to outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, biking, canoeing in the summer and skiing in the winter.

Northern Sweden

Northern Sweden is a vast landscape of towering peaks and endless vistas of pine forest, Polar plains, meadows and glaciers. Its eastern edge is fringed by a rolling coastline with islands and archipelago. No description of Northern Sweden is complete without mentioning Swedish Lapland – Europe’s last remaining wilderness. Lovers of the outdoors life will enjoy northern Sweden’s legendary national parks – Abisko and Sarek being two outstanding examples.
