Oslo

The capital of Norway is situated by Oslofjord and is famous for its rich cultural life and historical sites. Top attractions in Oslo include Vigeland’s Sculpture Park, Akershus Fortress and the Viking Ship Museum.


Lillehammer

Lillehammer hosted The Olympic Winter Games in 1994, and is known for old farms, a modern town centre and surrounding alpine skiing resorts.


Stavanger

Stavanger Region has many beautiful fjords. One of the most famous in the region is the magnificent Lysefjord with the overhanging mountain plateau Preikestolen (the Pulpit Rock) towering 604 meters above the fjord. In the town you can also visit the Norwegian Petroleum Museum.


Bergen

Bergen is known for Bryggen Hanseatic Wharf, included in UNESCO’s World Heritage List, and surrounding famous fjords. Top attractions in Bergen (except Bryggen) include the Fløibanen Funicular, the Fish Market and the Edvard Grieg Museum at Troldhaugen. Norway’s two most beautiful fjords, the Geirangerfjord and the Nærøyfjord are both included on UNESCO’s World Heritage List.


Geirangerfjord

The fjord landscape, with the Geirangerfjord as its centre piece, has been described as both unique and exceptionally beautiful. Impressive waterfalls cast cascades of thundering water from almost vertical mountain sides among them the famous falls: De syv søstrene (the Seven Sisters), Friaren (the Suitor) and Brudesløret (the Bridal Veil).


Sognefjord

Norway’s longest and deepest fjord stretches more than 200 kilometers inwards to the foot of the Jotunheimen Mountains. The dramatic landscape claims to be one of the most beautiful travel destinations in the world. The marvelous Nærøyfjord is one of the arms of Sognefjord.


Flåm Railway

An incredible breath-taking train journey from the mountain station at Myrdal on the Bergen Railway, down to Flåm station nestled in the innermost corner of the Aurlandfjord. The train journey provides some of Norway’s wildest and most magnificent scenery. On the 20-kilometre long train ride you can see rivers cutting through deep ravines, waterfalls cascading down the side of steep, snow-capped mountains and mountain farms.
